München

this blog is full of links. check it out ;)

WORK

the deadline was Monday so i have absolutely nothing to do right now.. the editors are just writing away about their respective topics so if I ask them if they want me to do anything Im actually bothering them more than helping them. Kinnnnnd of pointless for me to be sitting around but I feel like they´d rather have me sitting around just in case there is one little thing that they might want me to do. Kind of ridiculous because it doesn´t look like i´ll have anything to do for a while, but its good for me because I´m doing research on a possible thesis idea that (if I´m interested) I may be able to expand upon as a graduate student.

LOVE
what? I have a crush, thats about it.

LIFE
is great... Im loving architecture even more. Maybe because I´m not in studio... Ive been reading the portion in NY Times about design... Finally, time to read. I feel so much more informed these days than when I was in college. Woah, did you hear that?
Anyway. The weather here is insane. it has already rained, been completely sunny, and then rained again.

FOOD
I had a wonderfully healthy lunch that I made for myself today. Some sort of German wheat bread with cream cheese that had spinach in it and cucumber inside. Cherries and "jogurt". Yummm... I ate shitty chinese yesterday and told a colleage about it. He said that my American/Indian stomach must be stronger than his because last time he ate there he threw up for like the next 24 hours. Yikes.

FAMILY
i spoke to my bro yesterday.. he was sitting on upper sprowl in front of the GBC. lol, its soooo crazy to think that im like a million miles away, and hes in berkeley, and were talking on a PHONE and i could picture exactly where he was... Technology blows me away.
I havent spoken to my mom yet about her extended stay but I think Im begining to come up with things for us to do.

NAME-DROPPiNG
John started working OFFICIALLY this monday as an employee! I hope his first day was good. John, how was ur first day?
Ahmed is backpacking type of thing and taking busses from like Cambodia to Vietnam. Holy shit. Amazing.. And apparently everywhere except like Europe and the States have the squatty toilet. haha...
Talene is thinking of working for a fashion designer! That is sooooooo awesome... I can TOTALLY picture her working for Cole Haan or something..Although the realm of architecture will definitely miss her presence..
Vishant and I went out yesterday for some drinks at a bar near the Universität with a friend of his (whos name I have unfortunately forgotten). Hes from Texas. Yay US. His friend had this amazing looking strawberry margarita that had a mint leaf sticking out of it with powdered sugar sprinkled on it. I wonder what that was supposed to represent.
Janek and I went shopping in Stachus (Karlsplatz ) yesterday. I bought a charger for my camera finallllly and he bought some headphones for his grandmother who will be visiting this weekend. awesome awesome awesome.
Jan studied yeseterday in the library and Janek wondered whether the word "nerd" could be used for that or not. We decided that it was appropriate, but only for this occasion because otherwise, Jan is far from being a nerd.
Jarod is still in the states. No word as yet.
Aastha leaves for India in a few days!! she must be excited.. Haha Im sure she cant wait to hang out with Aditya and company
Dee also started his first day of work on Monday.. I have to find out how that went. The Germans he is working for wouldnt let him start at the hospital without a white coat hahha.a. Apparently scrubs arent good enough.
Stephanie is in Italy!!! And shes coming to visit me in Munich soon. I am so excited to have a b.f.f. from o.c. with me!!! I called her today but since I was at work I had to contain my excitement. Which was probably just as well because she was sleeping since she had a lonnnng night last night. Oh how I love long nights...

xoxo
