wow.
so upon arriving in munich i foudn a site called www.toytowngermany.com
its basicaly a bunch of ex-patriots (which as i recently learned means someone whos not german by natinoality but is working in germany, or whatever country that they're not a patriot of) who get togther on wednesdays for indian food. And, since im indian, and on wednesday it was my bithday, i figured it would be a good way to meet people.
and boy did i meet some inttttttttteresting folks.
before i get into that, i just wanted to thank JANEK, JAN, DAVID, and JAROD. you guys are soooooooo sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!1 They bought me this book of prooo stattuss photography from all around Munich. It has some gorrrrrrrrgeous photos in it. Gratned all the writing portions are in german, but it gives me a chance to learn a little so its good. I was not expecting anything from them at all!!! i was soooooooooo surprised. Who gives someone that they've known for only like literally 6 days a beeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaauuuuuuutiful and obviously not cheap book of gorgeous photography from Munich.... these guys are awesome. How sweet is that!!! I love it....
So, basically, for anyone reading who is in DC, or San Diego, david and jan will be there so make sure to show them a good time. I'll be in california so i'll definitely be goign down to SD to show jan how i do it in the states ;)
Anyway... so the people from this toytown situation were sooooo not what i expected.
It hought it would bel iek all young americans ready to party... Turned out to be like people from everywhere (which i have no prbolem with) that were all sorts of ages (which i also have no problem with) but it just wasn't what i was expecting.
There was this woman from nottingham who was very outspoken and made a german guy who was completely separate from our group sit at our tabel. which was a great idea because then i got to sit with jan janek and david and as you know they are AWESOME so that was cool, but it was wierd cuz iw as sitting accross from that woman, the german guy who got added to the table was caddy corner or whatever to my left, and this other crazy ass guy was like sitting accross from me to the right. He was freaking weird, man. He was this old dude from the uk somewhere, and he looked like a punk rocker that had done a lotttttttttttttttttttt of drugs in his day and clearly did not know how to interact with people. I was extremely uncomfortabel aroudn this guy.
There were some realllllllllllllly nice people there too, and one of them "invited" me for a drink at a nearby bar. I nearly accepted but noticed that the weird guy was still staring at me so i said i woudln't go just to avoid being around him... Then some other people who were leaving were like yaaa u should come, and we were like yaaaaaaaa ok (literally, yaa, thats hwo they say it here.. spelled "ja") and then they walked out and came back inside and were like yo are u guys coming?
us - "yea we'll just finish our beers and come"
them - "alright, well that guy is wiating for you outside"
us - " what? which guy?"
them - " the guy with the long hair is waiting for you guys to come to the bar"
me: ABSOLUTELY FREAKED OUT.
so we didnt endu p going cuz i was totally weireded out, and so janek went home but jarod and jan and i went to leopoldstrasse to go toa couple of bars... unforttccchhh it was raining earlier that day so there werent too many people but it was great :)
moral of the story:
i love my german boys :)
