dinner at the penthouse suite

SO.

Ericka and Jarod literally live in the penthouse suite on the 11th floor of a residential tower in Arabella Park. They have a fabulous balcony with blue lighting at the bar which Jarod and Jan constructed and it is absolutely awesome. I am literally in love with their balcony. I was telling Lauren a few days ago, I am a bitch that loves balconies... In fact, one might call me a balcony bitch.

Their apartment is totally cute... and not only do they have one, but TWO BALCONIES! The blue one is Jarods and Ericka has the one in their master. She's gonna put flowers in her planter instead of make it a blue bar but i think she should make it a pink bar haha.. how baller would that be. one blue balc and one pink balc. dooo itttt ericka! and just hang flowers, dont plant them. im sure theyll love the pink lighting, promise. hahaha...

so unfortcchh i was a little late to dinner with my fave couple and jan, but luckily they werent too mad at me. ericka made some pasta with some sort of sausage haha and she was all sad cuz she wasnt exactly sure what type of sausauge it was since it was all in german, but her pasta turned out great. we had yummy wine and sat on the blue balcony after dinner.. lol we talked a about all the crushes we had when we were little kids and all the funny things that happened to us when we were younger... hahahahahha a quick recap:

jarod was "raped" when he was in 2nd grade by a fellow female classmate who pinned him down and kissed him.
erickas first bf was conflicted between playing sega genisis and talking to her on the phone
i got my first "boyfriend" in like 4th grade when he hung out with me instead of climbing the tree with all our friends
and jan got like 80 loveletters from a kindergardener when he was a senior in highschool - in kansas.

hahahahaha... overall we had a lovely dinner and talked about lots of fun stuff. and yes, even briefly about politics. hahaha... (this time about healthcare. i think it needs to be universal and that people shouldnt have to work at dead-end jobs just to have health insurance. but we didnt get too far into that debate.. )


JULY 4TH

theyre having a small get together (which as we know means huge party) for july fourth and we're gonna have jello shots!!!!!!!! wooohoooooo!! im headed over to their place tonight to make a trial batch.. or at least to make some cookies. at my lunch break today im gonna see if i can find some food coloring at the german super market. anyone know how to say food coloring in german? what is it like.. die essen farbe?
